Community Impact
Showing Up In Our Community
Achieve Credit Union shows up for our community year-round through donations and sponsorships, employee volunteering, and financial literacy sessions. We believe in a brighter future for Lorain County and beyond through our community partnerships.
Community Giving Pledge
Achieve Credit Union’s Community Impact Program has pledged $70,500 in 2025 to support educators, nonprofits, and community initiatives in Lorain County and surrounding areas.
Funding is generated through member purchases made with Achieve CU debit and credit cards. Achieve CU donates a portion of fees collected during a transaction to fund our annual pledge.
Where We Focus Our Support
As we invest our time and resources in the communities we serve, we focus on three impact areas:
Achieve started in 1958 as an educators' credit union. Education is in our blood! We support education through financial literacy and wellness programs, student scholarships, and employer-hosted workshops on financial well-being.
We believe credit unions should extend beyond their branches' four walls. Achieve shows up for organizations committed to bringing communities together like the Elyria Community Partnership.
Homeless veterans, domestic violence victims, and children in crisis family situations are particularly vulnerable in our local community. That's why we’ve supported local organizations like Neighborhood Alliance, the Samuel L Felton, Jr. Valor Home, Lorain County Safe Harbor, and Blessing House.

OverAchievers
We believe being part of a community is more than location. It means giving back and helping out when and how we can.
So we established the OverAchievers. That’s our employee-driven organization whose sole purpose is to show up in our communities through fundraising, collection drives, volunteering, and more.

Financial Literacy Sessions
Achieve Credit Union employees regularly visit local schools, community centers, and nonprofit organizations to teach age-appropriate and critical financial skills.
Our courses range from everyday financial basics like opening accounts and managing credit to more in-depth topics like home-buying essentials and how to avoid identity theft.
